Cricket Live - Record breaking double Centuries by Gambhir and laxman

Record breaking double centuries to Gautam Gambhir and Laxman gave india a huge total of 613 for seven.

Gambhir and Laxman's twin double centuries _ the first time two Indian batsmen have scored double centuries in the same test innings.

Laxman, who finished unbeaten on 200, Laxman said "It’s a huge task for the Australians," "One or two quick wickets will definitely put a lot of pressure on them, and getting 600 and defending for the next three days will be a Herculean task."

Gambhir's career-best score including 26 fours and one six _ helped India to 435-4 when he departed.

Once Laxman reached double hundred Anil Kumble's declared amd left Australia with 15 overs to survive until stumps Thursday on the second day of the match.

Simon Katich was 29 not out and Matthew Hayden was unbeaten on 16.

Cricket Live - Gambhir Guides India For the Third Test at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium

India skipper Anil Kumble won the toss and elected to bat. Offspinner Harbhajan Singh was replaced by Amit Mishra due to a toe injury.

Gambhir scored his second hundred in consecutive matches with an unbeaten 149 Wednesday to ensure India dominated day one of the third cricket test against Australia.

The polished opener received strong support through half-centuries to Sachin Tendulkar and V.V.S Laxman, and even managed to upset some of the Australians during a series of verbal exchanges.

Gambhir also had a verbal clash with Simon Katich late in the day when the pair was separated by umpire Billy Bowden.

Tendulkar, who holds the test run-scoring record with 12,105, was out in the over before tea after scoring his 51st half-century.

Once Tendulkar departed for 68 Gambhir added another 139 with Laxman, who eased to 54, and India finished the day on a high.

In this Autobiography Adam Gilchrist calls Evidence a Joke, because sachin kept his version changed to save harbajan,

Sachin had said that he didn't hear what harbajan said to in Andrew Symonds in the Test Series against Australia in Australia.

Further to this Gilchrist also wrote that Sachin hard to find for handshake after the Australia beat india in the test Match.

This is the Biggest Slur ever made against Sachin Tendulkar.

Cricket Update - Australia Media Criticise Pointing Men

With The defeat in the 2nd Test at Mohali against India, Pointing men have been highly scathing by Australia Media.

Cricket author and columnist Peter Roebuck in the Fairfax newspapers, publishers of The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age wrote "It was not the defeat that was significant, but its manner... The Australians were humbled. Now comes the time to be humble. Ricky Pointing's team was outbatted, outbowled, outfielded, out-thought, outrun, outcaptained and outclassed,' writes acclaimed".

Australian retired cricketing greats - Shane Warne, Adam Gilchrist, McGrath are surely being missed during this series. As India leads in the four Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.

Over all The Third Test Match which is to played in Delhi on 29th October, India has not lost a match in the national capital for the past 21 years.

Cricket Update - India Beat Aussie in 2nd Test at Mohali

India Beat Australia in 2nd Test at Mohali by a huge Margin, The Stand in captain M.s.Dhoni said he has never seen the Oz getting so thoroughly outplayed on all 5-days of a Test match.

Harbajan sing & Zaheer khan took 3 wickets each to give India a 1-0 lead in four-match Test Series.

India beat world champions Australia comprehensively by 320 runs.

Criket Update - India Are Near to Victory in 2nd Mohali Test

India are on the Verge of Victory in the 2nd Test against the Mighty Australians. In the Second inning Australia lost wickets at regular intervals.

Australia were down to 52 for four soon after the break when Mike Hussey (1) and skipper Ricky Ponting (2), who both struck hundreds in the drawn first Test, fell at the same score. Harbhajan Singh and Ishant Sharma wrecked Australia's top order leaving india to taste the victory .

At close, Michael Clarke (42no) and Brad Haddin (37no) were waging a grim battle after adding 83 runs for an unbroken sixth-wicket stand. India set an improbable 516-run fourth innings victory target.

Cricket Update - Sachin Tendulkar reached New Milestone

Sachin Tendulkar Reached New Milestone, After Reaching the Milestone Sachin took off his helmet, pumping his fist before raising his bat to acknowledge a standing ovation from the crowd.

The entire Australian team came up to congratulate him. Other hand his partner Saurav Ganguly also congratulate him. Tendulkar reached the milestone on 15, surpassing the 11,953 runs Lara scored before he retired from international cricket in 2007.

Tendulkar shared in a 142-run fifth wicket partnership with Sourav Ganguly to rescue the innings from 163 for four and go past 12,000 runs in Tests.

Tendulkar holds a number of batting records, sachin holds the record for most Test hundreds (39) including the aggregate one-day runs (16,361) and centuries (42).

Cricket Update - Kumble will take Final Call for availability on Mohali Test on Friday

Kumble, who is the third highest wicket-taker in Test cricket, kept everyone guessing on his availability for the second Test match against Australia at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium starting here Friday.


Kumble has 36 wickets from seven test matches played here.

Kumble further added 'My record here has been good so far,

Kumble had a shoulder injury on his bowling arm side during the drawn first Test match at Bangalore.

Kumble said when asked who would replace him as captain.

In his absence, ODI team captain M.S.Dhoni is likely to lead the side.

After Won the Toss Sri Lanka Choose to field first. Pakistan in their 20over made just 132 for 7. The Tast look easier when Jayasuriya smashed 40 runs of just 34balls with three fours and two sixes. Ajantha Mendis took three wickets as Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by five wickets.

Cricket Live - India Vs Australia First Test Draw

Earlier today Australia had declared their second innings on 228 for six to set an unlikely victory target of 299. But due to Bad light which interrupted play twice in the final session.

Tendulkar (49) and (42no) added a dogged 61 for the fourth wicket before bad light halted play. Tendulkar was dismissed 14 runs short of equalling Brian Lara's world runs record.

Cricket Live - Pakistan Beat Sri Lanka in T20Canada

Pakistan won the Match by 3 wickets. Earlier Sri lanka scored 137for 9 in 20overs with Mubarak scoring the higest 39of just 29balls. Umar Gul destroyed the sri lanka with brillant bowling spell of 4 wickets just conceded 13runs. Pakistan reached the target in 19.5 overs 141 for 7.

In other Match Zimbabwe vs Canada the Match was Tied Canada were 135 for 7 were as Zimbabwe were 135 for 9 in 20overs. however

Cricket Live - India Fight Back with Harbhajan & Zaheer

Australia were Frustrated the way Indian Tail lender displayed their performance. earlier today Johnson destroy India's top-order with a four-wicket haul in the first Test.

Harbhajan (54) & Zaheer Khan (35 not out) for the eighth wicket help India recover from 232 for seven.
Harbhajan in his knock of 54 hit five boundaries in his 110-ball effort, including two consecutive fours off Lee after the second new ball was taken. Second highest score in this inning so far Rahul Dravid (51) batted some classic shot. Rahul Dravid had predicted a tight finish on an unpredictable pitch.

Meanwhile India were 313 for eight in reply to Australia's first innings 430.

In the Opening Match Al Barakah T20 Canada Sri Lanka won by 5 wickets with 6 ball to spare. However Zimbabwe lost wickets at regular intervals only Taibu scored unbeaten 45 runs. Maharoof & Thushara grabbed 2 wickets each while Mendis took 3 wickets.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced 15-members squad for the upcoming Twenty20 quadrangular tournament in Toronto. Shoaib Malik will continue to lead the side. Shoaib Akhtar return to the squad after 10 months. Newcomers Khalid Latif, Shoaib Khan and Anwar Ali managed to make it to the national side.

Cricket Update - Ponting Satisfied With his Knock

First Test in Bangalore, Ponting scored a sparkling century, as he the knock as "highly satisfying" and said it was the perfect reward for all the hard work he had put in to succeed in these conditions.

"I had played eight Tests here with a 60-plus as the highest. I felt I had a point or two to prove and I got a good hundred today and may be few more round the corner. Its a highly satisfying knock, " Ponting said after the opening day of the first Test against India.

"I've been working really hard. I've made no secret of it, my record here has been poor. Today is one step in the right direction. It was nice to get some runs out there and put the team in a good position. he further added that one innings doesn't make a tour".

Cricket Update - Ponting Finds Sehwag Comments Insulting

Sehwag Said theAussies took advantage of the catching pact, as we suffered the most in the catches pact during the last series" sehwag further added "We'd have won the Sydney Test if they hadn't claimed catches off half-volleys in that game."

Sehwag believes the Aussies took advantage by claiming half-volleys en route to a controversial victory on the final day at the SCG.

Cricket Update -Saurav Ganguly Announce Retirement

Ganguly's retirement announcement came at the end of the media conference, Ganguly earlier said "This is going to be my last series," "I have decided to quit. I told my team-mates before I came here. These four Test matches are going to be my last.
Ganguly, however, said: "As far as I am concerned and some of the senior players are concerned, we have not received any intimation from the board on anything."

Ganguly made a memorable century on debut at Lord's in 1996, and has played 311 one-day internationals, scoring 11,363 runs with 22 hundreds. Ganguly has played 109 Tests, scored 6,888 runs with 15 hundreds.

However Ganguly said This is going to be my last series, And hopefully I'll go on a winning note."

The first Test in Bangalore starts on Thursday.

Australia leg spinner Bryce McGain will miss the four-test series against India due to Shoulder injury.

Australia will be in very bothering situation.

Cricket alive - Watson Thanks For IPL

Shane Watson Thanks IPL for Rebuilding his career in international Cricket. Watson firmly believe that his career is finally back on track largely because of IPL.

Shane watson also got he opportunity with Shane Warne to thank his charismatic captain-cum-coach at Rajasthan Royals.

Watson said "Shane was amazing. He provided me the right opportunity and instilled confidence in all the members. He was simply superb as a captain,"

He further added "Test matches are different ball game altogether. When the ball starts turning from day four, you know it's a different challenge for you. But I'm here to put my best foot forward and help Australia win the series,"

"But I believe I have come out of that phase. I know the conditions here and I'm in great shape. I believe I'm giving myself the best chance to finally live up to the expectation here," added the all-rounder.

Watson, however, believes he had never been in better shape and hopes his career is finally ready to take off.
